Captain Cook Cruises to Welcome New Ship

Captain Cook Cruises eyes the remote areas of Fiji, Samoa and Tonga with the arrival of its new expedition ship, MS Caledonian Sky in November.
Captain Cook Cruises Executive Chair, Allison Haworth West says the ship is built to deliver these new high-end offerings for new and existing customers.
“MS Caledonian Sky is ideally suited to this as she has a high level of onboard facilities and service level as well as the size and stability to go further including to the outer Lau, Samoa and Tonga,” she said.
“The service levels, onboard facilities and the nature of the even more remote and expanded itineraries will be a world first.”
Company Strategy
Between November 11, 2023, and March 31, 2025, luxury expedition itineraries for the MS Caledonian Sky will include journeys to the Yasawa and Kadavu Islands, and new cruises to the northern and southern parts of the Lau Group, Tonga and Samoa.
On the company’s overall strategy in promoting the introduction of luxury cruising to customers in Fiji, Ms West says: “We will have local fares available subject to availability.
“One of the wonderful things about COVID was the number of locals who now know what we do and that many have cruised with us.
“We would like to keep the local rates going and encourage local Fijians to explore their own backyard.
“We are very excited about being able to do this proactively especially in the launch phase to encourage locals to get on board soon while space is available,” she said.
