Nausori Festival Gets Top Support

Vodafone Tebara Carnival, which starts today (September 9) in what is forecasted to be an ideal weather condition, will have a lot to offer.
That’s the reason why Nausori Town Council’s special administrator chair, Uma Kant Patel, is encouraging visitors and residents of the township alike to come in numbers and enjoy the week-long carnival.
“I encourage people living in Rewa, Tailevu and Naitasiri provinces to attend in large numbers and support the six contestants,” he said.
The theme of the Vodafone Tebara Carnival is “Clean and Healthy Environment, Beat Plastic Pollution”.
The opening march will start at 10am, from Mistry Lane and proceeding to Syria Park, followed by the introduction of the queens.
“Don’t miss this year’s Vodafone Tebara Carnival 2023; it will leave a lasting impact on your lives,” Mr Patel said.
On the evening of the final day, the second runner-up, first runner-up, Miss Charity, and Miss Vodafone Tebara Queen 2023 will be crowned.
Six contestants are competing for the title of the 2023 Vodafone Tebara Queen.
They are Miss Taras Supermarket Vasenai Rabo, Miss Nausori Town Council Ana Lule Raogo, Miss Rewa Pharmacy Nitika Neha, Miss Krish Amusement Shaiya Siya Kumar, Miss Nausori Plaza Priyashna Payal Prasad, and Miss Pak N Save Supermarket Faaizah Shahina.
At the carnival venue, there will be 40 food stalls, 10 corporate booths, amusement rides, and daily night programmes.
The closing march will take place on September 16 at 1:30pm.
