Tikoitoga is Fiji’s new High Commissioner to PNG

Fiji’s new High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea (PNG) Mosese Tikoitoga and his team departed Fiji on the weekend to take up their new diplomatic posting.
The Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Dr Lesikimacuata Korovavala congratulated Mr Tikoitoga on his diplomatic posting and wished him and the team well.
Dr Korovavala highlighted the importance of Fiji’s bilateral relations with PNG and the potential opportunities to advance economic interactions and deepen cultural and regional cooperation.
Mr Tikoitoga is proud to represent Fiji and honoured to be entrusted by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.

He is supported by the First Secretary Paulo Daurewa, and Second Secretary Ateca Mocenakete.
Mr Tikoitoga and his team look forward to carrying out their duties with diligence and to the best of their abilities.
He said Fiji and PNG had shared longstanding relations starting in 1976, and there was immense potential to further enhance the bilateral and regional cooperation through Fiji’s High Commission reopening in PNG.
Fiji’s High Commission in PNG was closed in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
