TV Screens Sold Out for Rugby World Cup

Nadi Home & Living Store experienced positive sales on Saturday with a large number of customers purchasing television screens in great expectation for the Rugby World Cup (RWC).
This was confirmed by the sales associate Avineel Narayan.
Their shops are situated at the My FNPF Centre building in Nadi, and at Namaka.
Mr Narayan said more than $6000 worth of TV screens were sold out last Saturday.
“About 15 TV screens were sold,” he said.
“In Fiji, rugby is a culture and having the RWC live on TV is amazing. Our cheapest HD (high definition) TV was $249 and last week it was all sold out. Our smart TVs were all sold out as well.

“32 inch and 43-inch TVs are all out of stock throughout Fiji and it all sold out.
“Our 43-inch TVs were $1079, and the price went down to $649. It was also wall mounted and easy for a crowd of people to watch it.”
He said there were orders from the outer islands.
“The people in the islands are buying the big screen TVs rather than watching the games on their phones,” Mr Narayan said.
“We have seen this before. People were not so concerned during the last RWC, but after the Drua came in and most of them joining the Flying Fijians we started to experience an increase in sale of TV sets.
“We have seen the excitement and enthusiasm in our customers for the game.
“We will support all our customers in Cheering Go Fiji Go!” he added.
