From Lelean to Paris for Setareki Turaganicoke

Lelean Memorial School forward Setareki Turaganicoke secured a three-year rugby contract with top French club Stade Francais Paris.
The 17-year-old lock will join former Fiji Under-20 rep Janeiro Wakeham at the club’s academy.
Turaganicoke hails from Dakuinuku in Sawakasa, Tailevu and shares maternal links to Naselai, Nuku, Tailevu.
He had played for the Lelean Under-18 side that lost 13-12 to Natabua High School during the Vodafone Super Deans Trophy quarterfinal, last month.

While this is a great opportunity for the Year 12 student, Turaganicoke misses home.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity,” he said.
“I thank my coaches for all they have taught me and especially my parents for their support since day one.”
Meanwhile, also travelling to France, was veteran Fijian sevens forward Sevuloni Mocenacagi who is joining a club there to play in several rugby sevens tournaments in Europe.
