Azam Fayuz Ali highly recommends people to visit Mali Island in Macuata.

The sales and marketing manager of Aaqib Rentals said the island is home to a number of rare birds and plants, as well as a variety of coral reefs.

“Mali has three villages, including the main village of Naivola, which is where most of the island’s activities take place,” Mr Ali said.

“Some of the activities people can enjoy on the island include going on a nature walk, kayaking, snorkelling, bird watching, as well as learning about the local Fijian culture and folklore.”

Originally from Nukutatava which is one of the famous picnic spots in Labasa, Mr Ali said visitors can also visit the nearby mango rock, which was an iconic landmark in the region.

Having visited countries like Japan, Malaysia, China, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Nauru Island, Hong Kong China and United States of America, the University of the South Pacific graduate says Fiji is the best holiday destination.

Aaqib Rentals was initially opened in 2015 by his parents and later Mr Ali joined.

Now it has three branches in one in Nausori, Labasa and recently opened in Lautoka.

It does tour business within Vanua Levu and airport transfers.
