Toganivalu is Acting FICAC Commissioner

Acting Director of Public Prosecutions David Toganivalu has been appointed as the Acting Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption.
This was confirmed by Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Siromi Turaga today.
The Judicial Legal Services Commission on the endorsement of the President appointed him.
Mr Turaga said Mr Toganivalu received his appointment letter this morning.
He also confirmed that Mr Toganivalu would be entitled to acting commissioner allowances as he starts in the role on Monday, September 25.
The Fiji Sun understands he would act in the position for two months until a substantive appointment is made.
Acting Chief Justice Salesi Temo congratulated Mr Toganivalu at the USP Admission to bar programme in Suva this morning.
Former FICAC Commissioner Rashmi Aslam resigned from his post on September 5, 2023.
