Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday holiday yesterday was a time for families to take time out from their busy schedules.

Members of the Assemblies of God Church Rabi community at Kinoya spent the day to catch up with family members and loved ones at the My Suva Picnic Park at Veiuto, Suva. Kibau Rabangnki, a youth member, said the holiday was breath of fresh air for most of them as they enjoyed the long weekend.

Mr Rabangnki said they had planned with the members of their congregation to have a day out with their families despite the weather.

“Not only youths are here but members of our men and women ministries too who wanted to be part of the picnic and sports day,” he said.

“This day is endorsed with a public holiday which indicates everyone is a part of our rich history as Fijians.”

Mr Rabangnki said Fiji was a multi- racial country where all religious practices were respected.

“Just like food brings us together, today (yesterday) we took time out to spend with our loved ones,” he said.
