Netball Fiji organised a two-day development workshop ek in Kuku, Tailevu, last week. This was where they covered all aspects of the game.

The workshop saw active participation from members of the Tailevu Netball Association. The participants underwent technical courses on coaching, umpiring, and the fundamental aspects of the game.

Netball Fiji umpire’s coordinator Losalini Bainivalu and coach developer Anasimeci Rakavosa was part of the workshop.

The duo held each session with the participants.

Netball Fiji’s development workshops is an integral component of its strategic plan, designed to provide guidance and support to grassroots initiatives and member associations, fostering growth, sustainability, and performance within the sport.

The development programme is aimed at laying the foundation in growing the game in the country.

On September 23, Rakavosa coordinated a netball development clinic in Levuka, Ovalau.

The clinic attracted participants from primary and secondary school students as well as teachers from Levuka Public and Delana Methodist schools.

This one-day development clinic not only imparted valuable skills but also extended an excellent opportunity for outlying communities to engage in high-level netball coaching clinics.

Two weeks ago, Netball Fiji in collaboration with the Fiji National Sports Commission conducted a netball coaching training in Nakorovatu Village in Naitasiri.

The ongoing development programme not only offered valuable skills but also provided an excellent opportunity for our rural communities to take part in high-level netball development workshop.

Netball Fiji’s dedication to promoting the sport at all levels will ensure that netball remains a vibrant and growing part of Fiji’s sporting landscape.
