Acting Principal Officer Tells Leadership Qualities of the late Toganivalu.

David Toganivalu’s leadership skills are some of the qualities Nancy Tikoisuva will always remember.
She was expressing her sympathy after the sudden death of Mr Toganivalu, who held the positions of Acting Director of Public Prosecution and Acting Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.
Ms Tikoisuva, who worked with Mr Toganivalu for the past 19 years, currently holds at the position of acting principal officer at the Toganivalu Legal firm.
She said Mr Toganivalu was the kind of person who believed in equal opportunities for all.
“He encouraged a lot of young lawyers who were new in the legal circle, that is why he established the law firm Toganivalu Legal,” she said.
“He displayed great leadership qualities that many who walked in the firm could feel the love and affection he projected.”

Reminiscing Mr Toganivalu’s dedication to work, Ms Tikoisuva shared a time when they were laid off from ODPP from 2004 to 2010.
She remembers a call she received from Mr Toganivalu after being at home for quite some time.
“With his gentle, convincing voice he asked me to come to his office and do some work,” Ms Tikoisuva said.
“Today, I honour him for not only being at the forefront of everything, but being a leader seeing the worth in everyone.”
Aside from his professional pursuits, she said Mr Toganivalu was also known for his active involvement in community work.
“He truly exemplified the spirit of giving back and making a positive impact on the lives of others,” she said.
