A truck driver from Seaqaqa escaped unharmed after the truck he was driving veered off the road and overturned at Korosomo, Macuata, last Friday.
There were no casualties or injuries, according to police, but the truck, which was carting cane to the sugar mill in Labasa from Seaqaqa, sustained heavy damage.
Police also confirmed receiving a report. It is alleged the driver lost control due to brake failure.
A family member said the accident happened between 7 and 8am.
