$300,000 pharmacy for Wanibokasi Hospital

After 23 years, Wainibokasi Hospital received a $300,000 facelift through an assistance by the New Zealand High Commision.
This included a new modern pharmacy and waiting area for patients. Minister for Health Dr Atonio Lalabalavu thanked the NZ government for its ongoing support.
The milestone achievement is another example of the effective partnership Government has built with NZ government.
The project will benefit a population of 14,709 that reside in 55 villages and 14 settlements.
Yesterday the Government also handed over a boat and outboard motor engine to the Rewa Medical Subdivision staff.
This was bought by the Government at a cost of $22,501 and will serve the four medical zones in the Rewa Delta and Southern Tailevu.
The new boat and engine will help health teams reach out to communities safely, in particular those with no road access.
