My passion for beauty treatments has always been there since I was a child.

This was how Sarita Murti described her career as a spa therapist and hair and make-up artist.

Born and raised in Sigatoka, Ms Murti performed her job at Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa and the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa.

Today, she runs her own business, Splash of Colours Hair n Makeup Fiji, providing beauty treatments, nail art, hair, and make-up services for weddings and other events.

Ms Murti shared some of her top local destinations to eat, relax, and travel with SunBiz.

What do you enjoy about your job? 

The flexible hours since my treatments are done on an appointment basis.

This allows me to balance my work and raising two school-aged boys.

I also get to meet people from all walks of life and make new friends.

What are your favourite spots to eat and unwind? 

The Coffee Hub.

They have the best of everything and amazing customer service.

I often visit local restaurants like Bohai Seafood Restaurant in Nadi.

Nama Spa is a great place to relax and rejuvenate.

What are your favourite travel experiences and destinations? 

Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort was the best because it felt like another home for us.

What are your top bucket list destinations? 

I would love to explore Taveuni Island and Savusavu, which are known for their serene natural environments.

I would love to visit Vuadomo Waterfall in Savusavu to connect with nature.

What makes Fiji an ideal travel and business destination? 

Our people are the friendliest and warmest in the world. There are so many options for relaxation and adventure.
