After a hiatus of three years, excitement is building up again for the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards (PMIBA).

There are 13 categories for this year’s award, celebrating business innovation, resilience, and excellence as well as uplifting the country’s economy and standards in the process.

“These awards recognise the businesses that are driving innovation, creating jobs, and expanding Fiji’s global reach,” Investment Fiji chief executive officer Kamal Chetty said

Port Denarau Marina, one of the applicants for the Excellence in Service Award reaffirms their commitment to excellence and innovation in the maritime and yachting sector.

Chief executive officer Cynthia Rasch said this was their first time participating in the PMIBA which was of great significance to them.

“This recognition not only fuels our pursuit of excellence but also underscores our dedication to making a positive impact on our community and country,” she said.

Fiji Airways, the national airline of Fiji, is another applicant for the PMIBA.

“The Fiji Airways Group serves 108 destinations in over 15 nations (including code-share), brings in 70 percent of all visitors who fly to Fiji, employs over 1000 employees, and is targeting to earn revenues of over FJ$1.5 billion in 2023,” Fiji Airways chief executive officer, Andre Viljoen said.

The Prime Minister’s International Business Awards event is expected to attract business leaders from around the country and the world.

The awards will be held at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island November 25, with only limited tickets available.
