Team Fiji men’s volleyball team has booked their spot in the quarterfinals.
This was confirmed by head coach Tevita Lewetuilovo after they secured their first win against American Samoa on Saturday.
Fiji won the first two sets; 25-17 and 25-18. American Samoa came back in the third set winning 25-18 before Fiji nailed the last set 25-14. Lewetuitovo said: “It was a baptism of fire (against Tahiti), we went to sort ourselves and they came out firing.”
The Fiji men’s volleyball team is yet to meet Tuvalu and Papua New Guinea in their pool games.
