Chaandvi Eyes Gold for Team Fiji Archery

Being the only women participant for Team Fiji archery failed to deter Chaandvi Prasad from shying away from the sport she loves.
Prasad is all set for her event today; which is the Open women’s single recurve.
She was introduced to archery by her friends and started competing internationally; this year.
“I’m very excited, representing Fiji is a huge responsibility;” Prasad said.
“Our archery teams won a few medals in the last Pacific Games and “I can feel the pressure to live to that.
“I want a gold and also to achieve my personal best.” Prasad added.
She competed in the Oceania meet in Australia earlier this year and also in the Australia national competition.
“This will be my third competition but my first Pacific Games,” she said.
“I followed my friends to the trials for our club back in Fiji and eventually became a member.
“I want to win gold for my country.”
Chaandvi will also take part in the Team Fiji mix event.
