Team Fiji Women’s Football Ready for Today’s Match

Team Fiji women’s football team’s coach Angelina Chua is working on her line-up for today’s group opener against Vanuatu in the Sol2023 Pacific Games in Honiara.
Chua emphasised the need for players to continue the fluidity of the game.
“We are still finalising the line-up, but you can expect to see a mixture of experienced players and the young talents who will be taking the field,” she said.
“It’s about finding the right balance to ensure a dynamic and competitive performance.”
Among the anticipated starters are overseas-based strikers Trina Davis from the United States and Vanisha Kumar of Australia.
While Davis is making her Pacific Games debut, this would be Kumar’s third Pacific Games appearance for the national team.
Both players bring a wealth of experience and add depth to the squad.
Also in the spotlight are Fiji’s top goal scorers of Cerna Nasau and captain Soft Diyalowai.
The match kicks-off at 4pm.
