Defending BiC Fiji FACT champions, Babasiga Lions are aiming to defend their title at Subrail Park, Labasa.
Labasa Football Association president Shaheen Hussain said it would only be fitting as they’re hosts and have included two regional players.
“There’s been more pressure this year because it’s hard to defend the title,” Hussain said.
“We’ve got in some players from overseas - two professional league players from PNG Rex Naime and Joseph Joe.
“We’ve got our boys that were part of Bula Boys have returned as well and it will add a great set combination to our team.”
Labasa is in Group A alongside Rewa, Suva and Navua.
“It’s a tough pool, all teams prepare well for such a big tournament.
“Suva is a good team and Rewa has got all the players back from the OFC Pro League and some overseas players too.
“We’ll give it a good go and will see how it goes,” he said.
Hussain said they will take one team at a time.
“Please come out in numbers at the ground. The team is ready.
“We need the crowd support here at home. Because it’s our home ground and the boys will put up a good show for everyone to enjoy,” Hussain said.
Meanwhile, Pool B sees Ba, Lautoka, Nasinu and Nadroga.
The Fiji FACT tournament kicks off next Friday.
