Petrol, premix prices fall — diesel and kerosene up
FCCC will be carrying out inspections nationwide to ensure retailers comply with the new price.

The September fuel price review brings mixed news for consumers: petrol and premix prices will drop, kerosene and diesel will rise, while all LPG products, including gas cylinders, will be cheaper this month.
The new prices, announced by the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC), take effect from Monday, 1 September.

- Motor Spirit (Petrol): $2.56 per litre (↓ 5 cents)

New LPG Prices (effective 1 September 2025)
- 4.5kg Cylinder: $14.27 (↓ 43 cents)
- 12kg Cylinder: $38.05 (↓ $1.14)
- Bulk Gas (per kg): $2.94 (↓ 8 cents)
- Autogas (per litre): $2.02 (↓ 6 cents)
FCCC said petrol and premix costs are falling because of lower international refined fuel prices and cheaper freight rates. In contrast, kerosene and diesel are going up due to higher global fuel costs and a stronger US dollar.
LPG products will see price reductions after Saudi Aramco cut international butane and propane contract prices for the third straight month.
Fiji’s fuel and gas prices are set on a one-month lag and reflect July 2025 imports, with global market movements and foreign exchange shifts directly influencing what consumers pay.
