Tour Managers Group, a leading hospitality organisation announced it was spearheading several multimillion-dollar projects aimed at enhancing its portfolio and elevating guest experiences.

Group chairman and managing director Damend Gounder said yesterday the project was approximately $10 million allocated to ongoing projects.

He said the group also unveiled a series of additional initiatives this year, further solidifying its position as a leader in the Fiji hospitality industry.

Yatule Resort & Spa

The property closed its doors on Monday to undergo major renovations.

During this period, extensive renovations are expected to revitalise and redefine the offerings of the Resort, ensuring an enhanced guest experience and an array of new dining experiences upon its reopening.

The renovation started on Monday and would be completed by the end of June 2025.

A total of 70 staff would take annual leave and were expected to be absorbed at other properties in the west.

Villa Del Cowrie

Located in Korolevu, Baravi, and is a destination wedding venue with accommodation, which was acquired by the Group during COVID-19.

A total of $ 2 million investment has been allocated. This new wedding destination will not only complement the group’s own managed property, Hideaway Resort and Spa but will also offer an exciting product for other resorts along the Coral Coast.

Villa Del cowrie sits on a five-acre of land and offers cutting edge experience when completed.

Robata Japanese Restaurant

The restaurant elevates the culinary landscape of Hideaway Resort and Spa, to introduce their newest dining establishment, Yuhi, offering Robatayaki Japanese cuisine.

New leadership appointments

Rahul Rajiv Gounder has taken the role of general manager of business transformation, while Pooja Natasha has taken over the post of general manager of Villa Del Cowrie, Weddings and Events.

Employee training and development

The group announced the launch of an extensive service education and skills training programme earlier this year.
