Pryde extradition progressing, FICAC tells court
Authorities pursue return of ex-DPP to face abuse of office and financial advantage charges.

The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) has confirmed progress in the extradition process of former Director of Public Prosecutions, Christopher Pryde.
Appearing before the Suva Magistrate Court today, FICAC lawyer Joseph Work told Magistrate Sufia Hamza that efforts to extradite Pryde are ongoing, alongside an active investigation into the allegations against him.
Pryde faces two counts of abuse of office and two alternative charges of causing a loss and obtaining a financial advantage. He is accused of approving and receiving payments he was not entitled to during his tenure as DPP.
