The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has filed a civil forfeiture application seeking to transfer more than $404,000 in bank funds, a house and land in Valelevu, and four vehicles to the State.

The properties, linked to the case involving Imran Khan and Deborah Kim, were declared unexplained wealth by the High Court earlier this year.

The ODPP filed the application at the High Court Civil Registry today.

In its ruling, the High Court issued a permanent restraining order over the properties after finding that the respondents had failed to provide evidence establishing that the assets were acquired through lawful means.

The assets subject to the forfeiture application are:

  • $404,840.34 held in a Bred Bank account;
  • a three-bedroom concrete house and land at Lot 21, DP 5225, Valelevu, under Housing Authority Sub-Lease No. 204059;
  • a BMW sedan (FH 945);
  • a Toyota wagon (KNGKHN);
  • a Nissan sedan (913); and
  • a Toyota sedan (IV 991).
