Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) Under-17 rugby team is determine to lift their performance against Suva Grammar School (SGS) in Saturday’s final of the Vodafone Super Deans U17 at Suva’s National Stadium Saturday.

RKS booked their place in the final with a 47-29 win over Ba Methodist High School (BMHS) last Saturday.

Speaking to in SUNsports, RKS assistant and backline coach Kemueli Raiqeu said they had identified areas to improve ahead of the final.

“I thank the Almighty God forthe victory,” he said.

“The boys had only one aim and that was to win. There were some weaknesses we had identified. The coaching team will go back to the whiteboard to highlight and polish those weaknesses ahead of the final.

“We will have to play according to our game plan and our main aim is to win the final.”

Raiqeu said SGS is a quality side and RKS would need to regroup for the final.

The match will also carry added significance, with the winner earning a chance to qualify for next year’s World Sannix tournament in Japan.

“We will try our best to topple it from Suva Grammar School,” Raqeu said.

He thanked parents, guardians, school management and players for helping the team reach the final.

“I would like thank the parents for their support and we believe that you will continue to support the team ahead of the final and turning out in numbers,” he added.
