Deputy PM faces court over FICAC-linked charges
Manoa Kamikamica faces charges of perjury and providing false information to a public servant.

Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica has been formally charged by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).
This is according to the Suva Magistrate Court cause list this week, listed under case number 06/25 in the Magistrates’ Anti-Corruption Division at Suva Court 4.
Kamikamica faces two serious charges: one count of perjury and one count of providing false information to a public servant.

The charges stem from an ongoing investigation linked to the Commission of Inquiry into the appointment of Barbara Malimali as FICAC Commissioner.
Authorities have not released further details surrounding the allegations, and Kamikamica has yet to issue a public statement regarding the charges.
The case is scheduled to be called before the Suva Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
