Ms Mataiciwa noted that Fiji currently has 10 registered political parties.
She also encouraged eligible voters to ensure their voter registration details are current, reminding the public that preparations for the next General Election are continuing.
Ms Mataiciwa urged Fijians to register if they have not already done so and to update their voter cards to avoid any issues when polling begins.
She stressed the importance of voters remaining informed as the country moves closer to the election period, with the writ for the election able to be issued within the constitutional timeframe.
