The Vodafone Fijiana XVs team is all set for their Women’s Rugby World Cup (WRWC) opener against Canada on Sunday.

Speaking to World Rugby Media during the welcome ceremony in York, England, on Monday Alfreda Fisher said they’re going to showcase a good performance.

The 20-year-old Togo, Qamea, Cakaudrove, lass was the youngest skipper to ever lead a national side when she captained the Fijiana against the Wallaroos in May.

“We are going to bring out good energy,” Fisher said.

“We are going to show the world who are the Fijiana women are and will play our hearts out and make Fiji proud.”

They will play the world’s number two at 4:30am (Fiji Time) and take on Scotland on August 31 in their second pool game.

The Fijiana’s third pool match will be against Wales on September 7.
