The Ministry of Health and Medical Services says the Colonial War Memorial (CWM) Hospital is experiencing a temporary water disruption affecting its west wing.

The disruption is caused by a burst and ageing pipe, with hospital services teams currently carrying out repairs.

The ministry said mitigation measures were in place, including backup water supply to critical areas and bottled water for patients.

It confirmed that essential services at the hospital continue.

The ministry is working with the Public Works Department and the Water Authority of Fiji to secure materials for a permanent fix.

It apologised for the inconvenience and thanked the public for their understanding.
