All 58 Post Fiji offices nationwide are now fully automated, allowing customers to carry out transactions in real time as the State-owned enterprise continues its digital transformation.

Speaking before Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee today, Post Fiji chief executive officer Isaac Mow said the milestone was achieved in December 2025, marking the completion of the company’s nationwide automation programme.

Mr Mow said the transition from manual operations to online services was necessary to keep pace with rapidly changing technology and improve customer service.

"All our services are brought online. All transactions are now online," he said.

"As of December 2025, all 58 post offices around Fiji are now automated."

He said Post Fiji had progressed from manually sorting mail and processing retail transactions before separating from Telecom Fiji in 1996 to operating a fully online network today.

Mr Mow said the organisation was now focusing on automating other areas of its operations, including Express Mail Service (EMS), where customers would be able to digitally sign for parcels using handheld scanners and smartphones.

He also revealed plans to introduce parcel lockers, allowing customers to collect parcels using a secure passcode instead of visiting post office counters.

Mr Mow said the company was embracing technology to ensure it remained relevant and continued meeting customers’ changing needs.

"We feel that we had to move with the technology. If not, we would be left behind," he said.
