FICAC witness refuses to name colleagues in Kamikamica trial

Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) witness Kalaveti Ravu today refused to identify fellow Government MPs who allegedly discussed his 2024 FICAC case with him, as he gave evidence in the trial of former Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica.

FICAC lawyer Jossene Pene questioned Mr Ravu about which parliamentarians had approached him regarding his FICAC case after claims that Mr Kamikamica was allegedly one of them.

Mr Ravu declined to reveal the names of the MPs despite being asked twice in court.

Mr Kamikamica is on trial over one count of perjury, with an alternative charge of providing false information to a public servant.

The trial continues at the Magistrates Court in Suva.
