Fire breaks out at Rarawai Sugar Mill in Ba
The National Fire Authority (NFA) is on site working to contain the blaze, which is reported to have started in the mill’s power house.

A fire has erupted at the Rarawai Sugar Mill in Ba around 11.30am today, the Ministry of Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry has confirmed.
The National Fire Authority (NFA) is on site working to contain the blaze, which is reported to have started in the mill’s power house.
The Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) and NFA are coordinating efforts to prevent the fire from spreading, with the safety of workers and nearby residents as the top priority.
