LTA probes alleged misconduct by Regional Manager
He alleged that in March this year, the LTA’s Labasa regional manager released his expired vehicle to a relative without his consent.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) says it takes all allegations of corruption seriously and is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
LTA chief executive officer Irimaia Rokosawa made the assurance after a complaint from Waiqele vegetable farmer Jainendra Narayan.
He alleged that in March this year, the LTA’s Labasa regional manager released his expired vehicle to a relative without his consent.
Mr Narayan said he also lodged a report with the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption after seeing the vehicle driven on a Labasa road.
Mr Rokosawa said every concern or report was reviewed with diligence and, where necessary, a comprehensive investigation was carried out in line with due process and established protocols.
“LTA does not tolerate any form of misconduct and will take firm and appropriate action should any wrongdoing be uncovered,” he said.
“We are committed to ensuring all our dealings are conducted fairly and ethically, and we continue to strengthen our internal controls and governance frameworks to safeguard public trust.”
