Fiji Airways has partnered with AncillaryBox to launch a dedicated online tour booking platform, tours.fijiairways.com.

Fiji Airways has partnered with AncillaryBox to launch a dedicated online tour booking platform, tours.fijiairways.com.

Creating more connections for small and medium enterprises will propel the tourism industry on a collective journey ahead, the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) said.

The most recent example was an initiative by national carrier Fiji Airways, which became the first airline to partner with AncillaryBox, launching a dedicated online tour booking platform tours.fijiairways.com.push

Tourism association chief executive officer Fantasha Lockington said the airline’s new platform allows guests to book directly with locally based tourism operators and properties.

She said the airline’s move supported the drive for inclusivity and diversity that tourism had continued to push for.

“Perhaps this will be the start to acknowledging and addressing the historical difficulty for affordable, online digital payment solutions for small operators,” Ms Lockington said.

“This is great news for our small and medium enterprises that have traditionally had less exposure on digital platforms because of their small size.

“Any large tourism network that can add value to visitor experiences while seamlessly connecting tours and activity providers is to be applauded.”

Fiji Airways' all-new Tours & Activities Platform offers guests a one-stop shop for curated experiences in Fiji and across our international network.

The platform provides curated access to the best-rated and most trusted tours and activities in Fiji, as well as key destinations across the Fiji Airways network.

In a press statement, the airline announced that the initiative supports local tourism operators and complements its broader strategy of driving visitor growth from key international markets.
