Vote for leadership that looks after the people and is guided by Biblical principles of openness, selflessness and servanthood, Unity Fiji Party (UFP) leader Savenaca Narube urged residents of the Northern Division during his campaign tour.

The week-long campaign ended last weekend after the party visited the three provinces of Vanua Levu.

“We must stop this merry-go-round now,” Mr Narube said.

“The chiefs and the people of Vanua Levu that Unity Fiji visited during its tour last week have strongly called for a change in the leadership of the country.”

He said residents openly expressed their anger at what they viewed as unfulfilled government promises.

Mr Narube claimed that people in the North welcomed the credibility that Unity Fiji would bring to the leadership of the country and its plans to address the root causes of poverty in Vanua Levu and improve livelihoods.

“Despite all the Look North policies of successive governments, they have all failed miserably,” he said.

“Vanua Levu remains one of the least developed parts of Fiji.

“We will focus on improving essential services, including roads, healthcare, water supply and housing.”

He said the party plans to sustainably raise household incomes through its Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) if elected to government.
