A new Building Permits Approval system will soon be launched to simplify and speed up Fiji’s construction approval process, Minister for Lands Filimoni Vosarogo announced at the Fiji Tech Summit 2025 today.
The platform, developed under the Government’s businessNOW project, will allow all permit applications and approvals to be completed online, replacing manual processes that have long delayed construction projects.
Vosarogo said the initiative is part of Fiji’s wider Digital Government Transformation agenda, aimed at improving transparency and efficiency in public service delivery.

Vosarogo said the government is now mapping all government services to identify those that need urgent digitalisation, with the goal of making 80 per cent of services accessible online by 2030.
“We want to ensure that every Fijian can access government support and opportunities quickly, conveniently, and transparently,” he said.
