David Kingston, a die-hard Queensland Reds rugby fan enjoyed his first Super Rugby experience in Fiji.

His trip to Fiji from Bunadaberg, Australia, was worth his time and money after his team recorded their first ever win on Fijian soil 21-6.

"Trip to Fiji has been awesome, people have been lovely; friendly and welcoming," Kingston said.

"Loving it and probably it won't be the last trip."

The Kingstons have been enjoying their stay at the Raddison Blu Resort in Denarau, Nadi.

"I've been following the Reds in the early 80s even during the Super 15 days," he said.

"The Reds team is important because it supports the ground levels. When they tour, they support the local schools and communities."

Kingston added that Reds rugby host events that promote the game.

"My favourite Reds player is Tate MacDermott who is out injured but then again every one of them is fantastic," he said.

"I love watching Filipo Daugunu and Harry Wilson, all those guys just performed brilliantly."

Kingston was positive that the Reds would reach the finals of the competition.

"Drua has a very good chance to get up there as well," he said.

"It's going to be very tough and once again we have to beat the New Zealand sides, that's the benchmark."

The Fijian Drua face Blues at Eden Park, Auckland in New Zealand on Saturday.
