Nothing yet on JSC recommendation to remove Acting FICAC Commissioner

There has not been any word yet on the future of Lavinia Rokoika as Acting Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).

The Judicial Services Commission (JSC), following consultation with the Acting Attorney-General, had yesterday recommended her removal from the position to President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu.

This masthead has established that the JSC will await the decision of President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu before any further action is taken regarding the FICAC Commissioner.

The Fiji Sun has also been reliably informed that the JSC has recommended the name of an individual to oversee the process.
