Opposition Member of Parliament, Ketan Lal has lodged a report at the Nakasi Police Station concerning online threats he has received on his political Facebook page.

Mr Lal lodged the report on Friday morning.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that Mr Lal lodged a report at the Nakasi Police Station concerning someone placing screws on his driveway with the intent of puncturing his tyres.

She said Police were investigating the report.

On June 25, Mr Lal was leaving his home to go to Parliament session for July when he noticed something shining on his driveway.

He got out of his vehicle to check and saw an old show polish cap which had a screw in the centre.

“It seemed like someone intentionally put it there because how would a screw be in it,” Mr Lal said.
