Police warn against pointing laser lights at aircraft

The Fiji Police Force has issued another stern warning to the public to stop the dangerous practice of pointing laser lights at aircraft, saying it endangers the lives of passengers and crew.

Police said despite repeated warnings, air traffic control operators in Nausori and Nadi continue to report incidents of laser lights being directed at incoming aircraft during descent.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on those involved to report the matter to their nearest police station or contact 917 or Crime Stoppers on 919.
