The newly-appointed head prefects of Seaqaqa Central College have pledged to enhance school discipline.

Head boy Ronish Lal and head girl Naeemah Amele are ambitious about promoting this value after their induction on Wednesday.

Ronish is the younger of two siblings and the first in the family to take up such a role.

“I’m humbled and blessed. There is a big shoe for me to fill - together with other prefects. The funny thing is, I was never a prefect in the primary. The last time I was badged was in Year 11,” Ronish said.

“While I celebrate this achievement entrusted to me and our student’s council, I believe this is time to elevate the school’s reputation when it comes to academic and sports.

“I will work closely with our students and teachers in this regard.”
