Six students identified after Lautoka bus stand fight

Police have identified six students allegedly involved in a fight at the Lautoka bus stand, with parents called in yesterday afternoon.

Lautoka Police confirmed that all six students attend the same school. Four were taken in for questioning, while two others fled the scene. Police said the remaining two students will be questioned soon in the presence of their parents.

Investigations are continuing.

Police officers are expected to visit the school on Monday to speak with students as part of ongoing awareness efforts.

Parents and guardians have again been urged to counsel their children and help them understand that their actions have consequences.

Police said the safety and security of children is a shared responsibility, adding that while awareness continues in schools, reinforcement must also begin at home.
