About a ton of plants believed to be marijuana were uprooted from seven farms on Kadavu Island were destroyed in accordance with approved court destruction orders.
Chief Operations Officer (COO) Acting Commissioner of Police (A/ACP) Livai Driu and a team of senior officers visited officers and drug operation teams based at the Kadavu Police Station last week and witnessed the destruction of the plants.
A/ACP Driu thanked the officers based in Kadavu and those involved in the drug operations, noting the operations had been long with teams on rotational deployments throughout last year.
