Rokoua replaces Torosi at the McDonalds Coral Coast 7s

Ilikimi Torosi has withdrawn from participating for the McDonald’s Mike Friday selects 7s team at the McDonald’s coral coast Fiji 7’s at Lawawqa Park in Sigatoka. 

This was after the tournament organisers confirmed that his availability was formally withdrawn by the Fiji Police. 

The Fiji Police notified the tournament organisers that Torosi is a paid employee of the organisation and he is required to resume his duties for the Fiji Police. 

The decision has prompted Torosi to miss out on the opportunity to feature McDonald’s Mike Friday to select 7 teams in the tournament. 

Josese Rokoua of the Devo Baba’s has stepped in as replacement for Torosi in the McDonald’s  

Mike Friday select 7s team. 

The Saunaka lad is known for his blistering pace, physicality and experience.

The McDonald's Coral Coast Fiji 7s tournament is set to kick off on January 15 - 17 2026 at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
