However, the journey has not been easy. He admitted that peer pressure remains one of his biggest challenges.
“Some students follow their friends in choosing courses. That’s a challenge because it can distract you from your own goals,” he said.
Despite this, Rupeni remains focused on his studies and knows the importance of making the right choices.
“My advice to young students is to focus on school. Don’t follow your friends too much. Choose your friends wisely, then you will be able to go in the right direction, especially when it comes to your career path,” he said.
Rupeni’s story show how determination can pave the way for a brighter future. While many of his peers are still unsure of their paths, he is clear about his dream to earn a place at university and eventually serve as a pharmacist, helping people across Fiji.
“I just want to keep going and never give up. Education is the key,” he said.
For Rupeni, the road ahead may be filled with challenges, but his determination to become the first in his family to achieve a tertiary education makes his story stand out as an inspiration for many.
