Pacific Specialist Healthcare’s birthing facility in Nadi is boasting an excellent success record for all its patients who have visited them.

The hospital invites expectant parents to check their reviews and patients posting on social media such as Facebook and TikTok to see for themselves the excellent and proud comments of its new mothers and fathers and their happiness on the birth of their new bundle of joy.

PSH Obstetrics and Gynaecology facility is proudly Led by Dr Tui Taoi.

She is Fiji’s leading obstetrician and gynaecologist.

PSH boasts a birthing team of only female nurses and nursing assistants for utmost privacy to expect-ant mothers. The entire birthing team are all females.

PSH’s director and Chief Executive Officer Parvish Kumar said this all-female staff in the birthing facility has been welcomed by many expectant mothers and also supported by many fathers as well.

“These mothers thank us for doing this,” Mr Kumar said.

“Then after giving birth, they have their own private rooms which has television, a lounge suite, facilities for making beverages.

“Actually, we have made these rooms for mothers like living in a five-star hotel bedroom.” The fathers are also welcome to stay with their wives at the hospital and we actually encourage this at PSH Hospitals.

Meanwhile Mr Kumar said they are happy with their decision to open their PSH Hospitals nadi branch 24 hours two weeks ago as they see a continued rise in the number of patients coming in at night. Last week we had a lot of patients from the airport seeking urgent medical attention at all hours of night needing treatment from conditions such as asthma, food poisoning, fever and sudden abdominal pains.

Our affordable consultancy fee of $11.50 to promote health access has been of tremendous support to the public seeking healthcare.

PSH is also looking at ways to make this service free of charge.

Foreign companies have been approached PSH to make this happen through collaboration.

PSH Hospitals core intention is to upgrade health services and promote universal health coverage and provide solutions to society’s hardships and access to healthcare, Mr Kumar said.

There are countless patients for whom we have come forward and made all services for them free of charge. Private Hospitals are made to reduce stress from the public system and offer advanced and faster treatment options and at PSH Hospitals, we go a step further to see how we can also make the services more affordable to the extent of making them free of charge for the most needy.

“PSH Hospitals is a different breed of hospital, come talk to us and you will realise that empathy is in every pulse of PSH Hospitals,” he said.

Patients who call in to see the general practitioners pay only $11.50 whether it be normal operating hours or under emergency at any hour of the day.

“Our medical procedures are offered at unbeatable rates. We have the facilities for a wide range of procedures available to everyone, including those unable to pay the full amount upfront.

“We also offer instalment plans with certain conditions for major procedures,” Mr Kumar said. Patients need to honor financial plans as well though.
