Nayagodamu Tuwai, 25, of Votua, Natutu, Ba, has graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education (Secondary), becoming the first person in his family to complete a university degree.
Mr Tuwai said he was grateful for the support of his parents and friends throughout his education journey.
“Without them, I wouldn’t have made it this far,” he said.
He said the road to completion was not easy, describing the journey as filled with challenges.
“The struggles I went through, only God knows,” he said.
Despite the difficulties, Mr Tuwai said reaching the milestone as his family’s first graduate was a proud moment.
Although he has completed his education degree, he hopes to pursue further studies in banking and finance.
“Something I’ve always been into ever since I was young was banking and finance,” he said.
He also encouraged students facing difficulties in their studies to remain grounded in faith.
“Seek God first and you will find answers for other things. God will provide you with the answers you need,” he said.
