An exploration geologist who lives in the mountains, but loves the sea, prefers to spend time churning profitable returns for locals.

Gold Basin Mining, an exploration arm and subsidiary of Fiji’s leading gold producer,
Vatukoula Gold Mines, holds prospecting licences for Balevuto and Toge.
The licences expire in 2024.
Meanwhile, Mr Dagoya, a Nasiriti native of Naitasiri, is a descendent of the chiefly clan of Nabobuco.
“My father is one of the three brothers behind the clan at Nabobuco,” he said.
Mr Dagoya worked for over three years as a geologist for Oak Mines Fiji Limited, a Nadi based operation, with exploration work in Malomalo.
Retired business leader and former minister for Government, Sir James Ah Koy, is the registered agent of the company.
Mr Dagoya also worked for Emperor Gold Mines Fiji Ltd, and BOC Gases Fiji.
He worked for the Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources in Nabua, Suva, for close to five years, as a technical assistant in resource geology, and in mines and quarries.
Mr Dagoya is a certified graduate of the University of the South Pacific’s earth science and marine geology studies.
