Vanua qualifiers start on Saturday

The Fiji Rugby Union has expanded this year’s Skipper Cup from 10 to 12 teams.

This is opening the door for more talent, greater competition and even more exciting rugby action.

“To secure the two new spots in the Skipper Cup competition, the Vodafone Vanua teams will battle it out in the qualifying rounds,” stated the press release.

The Viti Levu qualifying rounds kick-off this Saturday while the Vanua Levu qualifiers starts next week,

“We encourage all fans, supporters, and rugby lovers to turn up in numbers and be part of this exciting journey,” added the release.

• 3pm Vatukoula v Coastland Rugby at Theodore Park, Vatukoula
• 3pm Tavua v Yasawa at Garvey Park, Tavua
• 3pm Ra v Northland at Narauyaba Sports Ground
• 3pm Rewa v Northern Bulls at Burebasaga ground
• 3pm Namosi v Ovalau at Thompson Park, Navua
• 3pm Nasinu v Serua at Suva Grammar School ground.
