$10M Shop N Save Supermarket opens in Nausori
New supermarket branch creates 50 jobs and enhances retail competition in a strategic high-traffic location.

Nausori Town has received a major economic boost with the official opening of a new Shop N Save Supermarket, following an investment of approximately $10 million.
The new supermarket, located near the newly-developed Nausori Market, is expected to significantly improve shopping convenience for residents while creating employment opportunities in the area.
Speaking at the opening, Shop N Save Supermarkets executive director Nisheel Deo said the company was proud to invest in Nausori Town after more than a year of construction.

“It feels great to have invested in Nausori Town and to finally open this supermarket,” Mr Nisheel said.
He said the $10 million investment covered the construction of the building, modern fixtures and fittings, as well as inventory, reflecting the company’s long-term commitment to the town.
This branch alone has created employment for close to 50 staff members, which is something we are very proud of.

Mr Nisheel said the opening of the new store would provide customers with a wider range of products at competitive prices, strengthening Shop N Save’s reputation as one of Fiji’s well-known retail brands.
“With this store, we are bringing a wide range of products for our customers at competitive prices,” he said.
“As a brand, Shop N Save is well known around Fiji, and we believe we are bringing additional value to customers here in Nausori.”

He described the development as a “win-win situation” for shoppers, who would benefit from both product variety and affordability.
The location of the supermarket was strategically chosen due to its proximity to the new Nausori Market and its high foot-traffic area.
“We chose this location because it is close to the new Nausori market and it’s a high foot traffic area,” Mr Nisheel said.
“In terms of the value proposition we bring to our customers, it is an excellent location.”
The new supermarket is expected to enhance competition in the area while supporting economic growth and providing greater convenience for Nausori residents.
Shop N Save continues to expand its footprint across Fiji, reinforcing its commitment to community development, employment creation, and affordable shopping options for customers nationwide.
