Fifty-five graduates have joined KPMG Fiji in its 2026 intake, with some making history before starting their careers.

Maria Aperto is the first female from her small rural high school to graduate from the University of the South Pacific (USP) and join a large accounting firm.

The Nadi-based graduate interned at KPMG's Suva office in 2024 while completing her studies.

She now works in the firm's KPMG Dynamix (FDX) division.

Sitiveni Nakurua is the first in his family to graduate from university.

He represented Fiji in the Under-23 Netball team while maintaining strong academic results.

A National Toppers Scheme Scholarship - a government award for high-achieving students - funded his USP studies.

He interned at KPMG Suva in 2024 and now works in the firm's Suva Audit division.

Samuel Yalimaiwai, who joins the Advisory division, competed at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore and set a new Fijian national record.

He is aiming to qualify for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Of the 55 graduates, 33 joined the FDX division, which services clients in Australia and across the Pacific, while 22 work across Audit, Advisory, and Business Services.

Managing Partner Sharvek Naidu said the graduates were based across the firm's Nadi and Suva offices.

"We're delighted to welcome this new cohort of graduates to KPMG Fiji," he said.

The graduates joined the firm between December 1, 2025, and January 26, 2026.
