This was discussed during the 2022 Pacific Labour Mobility Annual Meeting (PLMAM) in Samoa which ended on Friday.
Between 2022/2023 the New Zealand government will increase the number of placements from 16,000 to 19,000 workers while expanding into the meat and seafood processing sectors.
The Australian government aims to increase the number of workers to 35,000 by June 2023.
